1973 Triumph GT6

Lester Boogie on the IMCDB:

This is my old 1973 Triumph GT6 Mk III. She was a beauty to look at, and when it ran, was a great driving car. I owned it in the late 70’s and sold it around 1982. I answered an ad in The Montreal Gazette newspaper asking for people with British cars. I worked on the set for 3 days at about $60.00 a day. We had a ton of fun, even though they were VERY long days

1970 Triumph GT6

More isn’t always better and six cylinders aren’t always better than four.

But given the option between the 1.3 litre four-cylinder in the contemporary Spitfire or 2.0 litre six in the GT6, well, the choice is clear.

Triumph Stag

Oh, Triumph Stag, why do you torment me so? On the plus side there’s the Michelloti-designed body, the four seats, the removable hard-top, the clubby interior and the glorious engine note.

On the minus side there’s the horror stories. Yes, many owners (who aren’t even looking to sell) will tell you that living with a Stag is skittlebrau. Modern maintenance, awareness of the potential faults and competent mechanics mean that all of the things that made the Stag such a moneypit are no longer a problem.

Ok. Sign me up.

(Also: the Stag came in at least three different shades of brown. Awesome!)
