Lancia Beta Spider

If I had a Lancia Beta Spider, its name would be Stavro Mueller.

1978 Lancia Siblio

With a drop-snout, flared wheel arches and front quarter windows, the Siblio presages the trends of the early 2000s by 25 years.

And also looks quite a lot like the cars in Total Recall (1990).

Lancia Gamma Coupe

After a hard day at work on Project CyberSyn, my amazing pre-internet country-wide cybernetic control system, I like to feel the same sophistication in my automobile. That’s why I choose Lancia Gamma.

Stafford Beer.

Lancia Beta HPE Volumex

The Beta HPE is built on the same platform as the Beta Berlina. Not that you could tell.

The most special thing about the Beta HPE Volumex is that it’s factory supercharged.

Where do I sign up?

Lancia Beta Berlina

The Beta Berlina is the car that ruined Lancia in Britain. They were terminally rusty — from new. There was a scandal. Lancia took back the rusty cars and gave away news ones to replace them, but the damage was done.

Such a shame, because as we know, Lancia is the greatest car company in the world.

Word comes through from the North American International Auto Show that this thing is a Lancia wearing Chrysler badges.

Previously I’d said it was quite pretty. I think I was overly swayed by the two-tone brown. But now I see it’s more Ford Focus- than Fiesta-sized and that throws off the proportions for me, making me think its oversized and lardy.

Or perhaps Lancia Chrysler are doing the old trick of putting undersized models next to the car to make it appear bigger. Do you think it’s possible this young lady is about 5’4”?
